Trees
A tree is a large, perennial plant that has a permanently woody main stem or trunk.  There is no set minimum of height requirement to be a tree, but trees are usually at least twenty feel tall at matureity, although "ornamental" trees may be shorter in stature.  Trees also develop branches at a height above the ground which are supported on the main trunk.  Compared with other forms of plants, trees are long-lived. Trees of all kinds play an important role in landscapes with multiple purposes being served: energy reduction, aesthetic purposes, privacy, etc.
